{kindergarten round-up and preschool visit}

last week was kindergarten round-up at the school where greyson will be attending (also where i work :)).  he was very shy and nervous while we were there, but couldn't stop talking about it when we got home.  they gave each child a kindergarten readiness kit full of supplies to help them get ready for kindergarten.  greyson was beyond thrilled!! they included calendars with a daily activity.  as soon as we got home he wanted to complete the first one and use his new materials.  i hope he stays this enthusiastic about it all summer! :)

yesterday his preschool class made a visit to our school so the students could see the kindergarten rooms.  their teacher asked if it would be okay to swing by and say hello.  of course i said yes (even though it was during our reading block which is supposed to be totally uninterrupted-ha!).  greyson knocked on the door and lead his class around my room.  it was adorable. he felt so special! in the evening i asked him what his favorite part of the visit was and he said "knocking on your door and leading everyone."  i just love my little man and am glad i made the decision to have him go to my school.
