~we got some awesome landscaping plans for the pond. i'm so excited and in LOVE with them. we still have another person coming this week though, so we'll see what they come up with. we've been told with the dry conditions and heat, we should wait until fall to actually complete the project.
~the fallers and freeds came over to swim on the 100+ degree day. the kids had a blast and did really well together. we had a few mishaps, like katie getting stung by a bee and kenna (little miss independent who thinks she can swim and go in the deep part) being a handful. ;) i also tried out another thing from pinterest. i made a water mat out of a painting tarp and duck tape and then filled it with water. it was kind of like a water bed. definitely not as fun as the blogger made it seem. oh well...unfortunately, i didn't take a single picture.
~we ordered a new kitchen table. i am beyond happy! i've been wanting one for a LONG time. probably ever since we moved in here! it comes on the 4th...woo to the hoo!
~i also broke down and bought a bookshelf. my dad was going to make one to match our desk but he's been so busy that i've been waiting quite a while. although his would be much better quality, it serves it's purpose and i was able to unpack five or six boxes that haven't been touched since we moved in. it was fun to go through them and see what all was in there. i found some old pictures from high school and college. i also found my journals from college. it was fun to read my entries and to see how God has worked in my life since then.
~probably the most exciting event was attending the friend fest. we went around 10:30 saturday, watched a few bands perform and then decided it was way too hot to be out in the sun for 12 hours so we went home. we left our chairs since we had great seats and returned around 6. it was an awesome time of worship and the bands were fantastic. john and i enjoyed our time together and with our friends!
i'm already looking forward to next year's concert and will be there for both days! :)
it's hard to believe we have said good-bye to june and have welcomed in july! herie's to hoping july doesn't go as quickly as june!

Sounds like you have been busy yet again, but fun stuff! So glad the concert was so awesome!!
Not sure where my first comment went...but it said something like...It looks like you have kept yourself busy, but with fun activities! And I am so glad you enjoyed the concert!!
You guys have done so many fun things. The concert looks awesome! Are they planning on having one every year? If so, I'll have to go next summer!
