pure joy: an unexpected day off

we had a fog/ice day last thursday! it was a nice surprise.  i know many teachers do not enjoy school being cancelled because it is added on to the end of the year.  however, every once in a while it's nice! i enjoyed spending the day with these two sweeties! 

it amazes me how much kenna is like her brother.  she loves the water already.  she knows what the word bath means and gets so excited.  she often cries when i take her out.  she also loves music.  when a song comes on tv or one of her toys starts doing something musical, she will sway back and forth.  she started waving bye bye this week and also loves to kiss. 

 

 greyson is growing up so quickly.  he loves to watch movies and eat popcorn.  his latest obsession is girls (yeah, we were hoping this wouldn't start so early but he has a huge crush on a girl from church).  he is adored by many, including doug, my dad's co-worker.  doug gave greyson a set of airplanes this week and there was a key chain included in the set.  greyson kept asking me and john to take off the ring.  i told him no because it would just get lost. well, little did i know he wanted the ring off so he could give it to emily.  i have no idea where he comes up with this stuff!  it did give both john and me a good chuckle.  he is very ready for summer as he wants to be outside.  i can't wait either.  it won't be much longer!

i tried to have a little photoshoot to capture some pictures of both of the kids together, but it didn't go so well.  kenna was all over the place and just wanted to kiss greyson or pull his hair.  i did get a couple of them together, but we were more successful with individual shots!  maybe someday! :)



what a great way to spend the day.  pure joy.
