have you ever had one of those days where you tear up at the drop of a hat? today was one of those days. i wanted to escape and just have a good cry, but couldn't since i was at work. it seemed like once i started tearing up this morning, i couldn't stop. i even told my students i had allergies and that's why eyes were watery. i called john after school and started crying again. he just laughed because i couldn't even tell him what was wrong...because i didn't know. i guess i felt like i had the weight of the world on my shoulders. i prayed throughout the day, pleading with God about several things. i even told him i'd be angry with Him if He didn't answer my prayers. probably not a good thing to do, huh?
well, i'm ready to shout from the rooftops because God answered two, not one but TWO of my long term prayer request!! how awesome is God!?!
my parents are finally able to sell the station!!!!! my dad was the co-owner of B&M service station for those of you who don't know. about 12 years ago they decided to call it quits because my dad was having health issues due to the stress and heavy lifting. they were unable to sell it because gas had leaked into the ground. they have been wrestling with the state for twelve years going through all sorts of junk to get it cleaned up. after thousands and thousands of dollars, it's finally been cleared to sell (they have had a buyer for several years but weren't able to sell it until the state said it was cleared). they get to close on MONDAY and they are getting more than they thought! huge blessing!
my brother toby, who graduated in may of '08 from college has been unable to find a job. we've all been praying fervently for God to open doors and provide something. he had two interviews this week and was offered the job this afternoon! this is also huge! we are very proud of him and are so thankful for God's provisions. we don't know why it has taken so long for him to find a job, and there have been many disappointments along the way, but God's timing is always best. he will be moving to indy, which is sad, but it is obviously where God wants him for the time being.
i needed to see God and today, i saw Him big. thank you Jesus for answering prayers!
