the kids begged to have a special valentine's dinner again this year with the chocolate fondue fountain. we obliged and john made steaks while i got all the fountain foods around. this is one of the kids favorite things to do and i foresee this happening every valentine's day from here on out.
kenna tried doing the moguls she almost made it to the bottom and then bit it hard. john was at the bottom of the hill videoing her, but then lost her, and we couldn't find her for a while. thankfully there was a kind couple who helped her up and she finally made her way the rest of the way down. when she came down, her eye was scrapped up and she started crying as soon as she saw us. it didn't look too bad but got worse in the following days. she woke up to a completely swollen shut eye. thankfully it wans't worse. she decided she wouldn't try them again anytime soon.
it felt so good to get back out on the slopes and we love that all of our family enjoys skiing.
