{mother's day & preschool graduation}

this mother's day was much different than in years past. i didn't get my traditional picture with all the kids because all three boys were sick. i didn't get to go to church and i didn't get to eat any of the yummy cupcakes that john brought home from church. but i did get to go to a wine and canvas event with my mother and sister. we had a great time and enjoyed a kid free afternoon. 

here are our finished products. I actually like the way mine turned out and now it is hanging in my bedroom. 

when i arrived home the living room was covered with blankets and towels because both twins started puking and had major diarrhea that just wouldn't stop. i only ended up working one day this week to be with them and then i got sick too.  so far john and kenna are the only ones who haven't been taken down by this awful virus.  i really thought we were all getting better but three of us still have the runs.  no fun i tell you...no fun! 

of course during all this kenna graduated preschool. grandma and grandpa stayed home to be with the sick ones while john and i went and celebrated this milestone. kenna sang so loudly, she was practically screaming.  she was in a funk though and did not want her picture taken.  she was so afraid of everyone looking at her.  she does not like to be the center of attention when she is around people she doesn't know.  she looks scared in all these pictures! we were blessed with a great year and mrs. whetstone and mrs. yoder do such a wonderful job!  we are thankful for them and all they do!
