we kicked off the warmer weather with a trip to potato creek state park with matt and the kids and amos and the kids. poor alicia was sick so she had to stay at home. i had my fill of sports and fishing talk over the coarse of the weekend! ;) the temps at night and in the morning were cooler but during the day it was absolutely perfect. we spent a lot of time around the campfire, riding the trails, and just playing. the twins did fairly well. they were so tired that they crashed right away. we debated about taking the pack-n-plays but decided not to since they take up so much space in teh camper. i wasn't sure they would stay put but they shared the table bed and did great.
smores and popcorn over the fire were a big hit. yum!
we let kenna sleep on the top bunk for the first time. she was so excited and insisted i take her picture. the second night she stayed with emerson in her camper and greyson stayed with tyler in his camper. my sister came up after work and took the twins home with her so john and i were kid free. on sunday morning i stayed in the camper for a long time and just enjoyed reading. it was so nice not to have to keep a constant eye on the twins.
graham and easton loved spike. they were constantly petting him, hugging him, and kissing him. easton is always so scared of our dog remi, who is quite large. he seemed to really enjoy this smaller dog.
we've only camped once each summer for the past few years because it is challenging with the twins. after this trip, i think there will be more camping adventures this summer!

Sounds like you guys had a great time! The weather looked great for camping. I was bummed I missed that trip, but I would've been miserable since I felt so bad. :( We'll have to plan another one this summer.
