we spent our weekend at chain o' lakes camping with my college roommate, tara, and her family. the weather was gorgeous, the leaves were starting to change, the kids got along great, and everything went pretty smoothly for having three children under the age of 2. john informed me we will not be going camping again until the twins are 4, but i'm sure he will forget about how much work they were and we will go again next summer. :)
i wasn't as prepared as i normally am and i forgot all of our refrigerated and frozen food. yikes! thankfully we planned our meals for each other and tara had plenty or we got it at the camp store. we also managed to leave greyson's bag at home that had all his clothes in it. i guess i can't say everything went off without a hitch. ha!
we are so grateful for our friends who let us borrow their truck and travel trailer! It makes everything so much nicer! the time away in nature was just what I needed to get me out of this funk that i've been in!

How fun! I like fall camping too. There aren't as many bugs and it's nice to sit by the fire at night. Looks like you had a great time!
