{life lately}

well, after eight months off i have reentered the working world. the transition has been rather smooth with our darling kenna having the hardest time adjusting.  she tells me how much she misses me.

all. the. time.

she has been begging us to let her get a kitty.  poor girl...the answer is no, and always will be.  hmm...i think i've said that before about a dog.

 it feels good to back at work. i feel more intentional with the time i do have at home and enjoy the routine and schedule.  my class is great and i'm really enjoying them.  i also love being back with my co-workers...they are great too!

greyson started first grade.  i am thankful that he goes to the same school where i teach because i get to see him (every once in a while) in passing and also get to spend some time with him before and after school.  although, usually he is distracting me and driving me crazy. ;) he still isn't a big fan of school and would rather be at home playing outside, riding his four wheeler, etc.  he is all boy and really could care less about reading and writing.  he loves gym and recess.  oh, and lunch. ;)

the boys turned seven months on aug. 21st.  they are changing SO much.  easton is crawling all over the place.  we often find him in another room.  he also is pulling himself up on the couch or on people who are sitting on the floor.  he loves to laugh at his older brother and sister.  he finally got his first tooth a few weeks ago.

love this picture! I'm sure it's the first of many face slaps. ;)
Easton pulling himself up on me...say it ain't so!
graham is army crawling and rolling all over.  he just started getting up on his knees so i'm sure it won't be long before he's tagging along with easton and crawling all over the house.  he got his first tooth the day before he turned seven months and another one has also appeared since then.  i love getting him out of bed in the mornings because i'm greeted with the biggest smile.

just look at that face! he just got done crying.

both of the boys are still getting up in the night more times than not.  i honestly don't mind because it gives me extra snuggle time with them. i am so thankful though when they both sleep through the night because i'm pretty much always exhausted.  i am still nursing them and am supplementing while i'm at work.  they have liked all the fruits and vegetables that i have put in front of them.  i've started to introduce dairy back into my diet.  usually if i limit how much i consume, the boys are fine.  i still am not drinking milk or eating much ice cream.

john got to go salmon fishing with one of their brokers earlier this month. he was gone overnight so getting all the kids fed and to bed by myself was a little challenging.  it made me appreciate all the help he is with the kids! i really don't know single parents do it! here's john with his big catch.

we finally met and spent an evening with our new neighbors (who have lived here for a year this month).  our kids loved their girls so much and the girls were so great with both greyson and kenna. i don't know why it has taken us this long to get together but we are thankful it finally happened. we now have added to our list of babysitters!

one of the things on our summer bucket list was to go to a silver hawks game.  it never happened so when one of my co-workers organized a staff outing we decided to go.  the kids had fun and loved the fireworks afterwards.  greyson was asked to go on the field and say "play ball" before the game started.  he did a good job.  we let them play on the bounce houses and greyson got to see how fast he could pitch.  he though he was pretty cool when he got 29 mph. aren't they just the cutest!?!

ah, life lately, it's been fun!

Love all the cute pictures and I can't believe the boys are crawling!! I still think they are too little to be moving so much. Of course, Kenna and Greyson are always cute and full of personality. She looks pretty happy in her mama's bff shirt at the silverhawks game! :)
